Be positive

A short humorous video featuring Peter Rowsthorn focusing on the importance of having and displaying a positive attitude around the children, as opposed to a negative attitude which only attracts and creates more negativity.

Our thanks to Peter for giving his time to team up with The Fathering Project to share these awesome tips and messages with other fathers and father-figures.

Having a positive mindset can improve your ability to cope with work and family stresses. Accepting circumstances that you can’t change, and making the most of the opportunities that are presented to you, will enhance your life and improve your relationships with others.

For example, if your work roster, travel commitments, or access limitations prevent you from attending a major event in your child’s life (like a birthday or sports final), focus your energy on inventing a unique way to celebrate the event from a distance or on your return, rather than on the fact that you won’t be there.
