Runaway toy

If you work away from home or travel a lot, try this idea:

Next time you part from your children, take one of your child’s toys (not one of their most treasured ones) with you. Then take photographs of the toy at different places (sitting on the plane; on your desk, the dashboard of your vehicle or other workspace; beside your dinner; etc.) and send them back to your child, pretending that the toy “ran away” to spend time with dad.

Tips:

Give your kids a call

If you have to head off early for work or other engagements, give the family a call before the kids head off for school to let them know you are thinking of them.
