The #2Calls2Dads challenge invites blokes to call two other dads each week and ask how they are going during the COVID-19 crisis.
This is a challenging time for many families. A friendly check-in from a mate can make a big difference.
The purpose of the call is for dads to talk about how they are going, and to share tips and strategies on how to best manage the challenges facing their families.
We challenge dads to register their commitment. In turn we will help by sending you reminders by SMS and email.
Q. What do I need to do?
A. Commit to calling two dads each week. That’s it :)
Q. Do I need to know the dads that I call?
A. Yes. Think of the dads that you know in your friendship circle, sporting community and professional network.
Q. How long do I have to keep calling the dads?
A. We are aiming to do this for an initial period of 12 weeks.
Q. Can I call more than two dads?
A. Yes, you can call as many as you like, but we want it to be something manageable.
Q. Do I call the same two dads each week?
A. It’s up to you. You can check in with whoever you feel needs a call.
Q. Shall I follow up my call with a text?
A. After your first call to each dad it might be beneficial to send them a link to this page for some further info for them.
Q. Why register? Can’t I just call two dads?
A. When you register we will send you SMS and Email reminders to call your dads, and, you’ll help us measure the impact you are making.
The dads you call, once registered themselves, will also be reminded to call their two Dads, and so on.
Together we can reach many dads!
