Bucket list

Create a bucket list of potential dad date activities. This will make sure that you have them pre-planned or increase the likelihood of them actually happening. You can share them when you are apart from your children or discuss them with your children when you are together.

Part of the fun with dad dates is the planning, preparation and anticipation. Kids love it and make the most of the build up.

Make sure the dates are ones that fit with the individual child, so that they are things they will like doing with you. Remember – no other adults and no other kids works best.

Kids and education

Kids are not your bragging rights. Never put too much pressure on your kids to perform, and if they don’t perform, make sure that they are not judged by you and they know that you will love them unconditionally no matter what.
