Build a model together

If you work away from home, travel a lot, or don’t see your children often due to access limitations, here’s an activity to try:

Model airplanes, ships, trains and helicopters, many with remote control motors included, are available for purchase at toy stores and hobby outlets as well as online. Choose a model suitable to your child’s abilities, and spend time when you are together assembling it. As you get close to completing it, plan an outing to the park (or wherever is appropriate) to test it out.
