Build up new traditions with your kids

If changes such as separation or moving house have disrupted family traditions, start new ones! They don’t have to be complicated or expensive, just ways to spend time with your kids. Here are some suggestions:

  • Grow a garden together
  • Watch waves crash during storms
  • Toast marshmallows over an open fire

Be the voice in your child’s head

Peer pressure can be very hard to ignore. To help your kids avoid giving in to peer pressure, it is important to be the voice in your child’s head encouraging them to think twice before following the masses.

Consider the cost/benefit trade-off of spending time with your children

Investing time and energy in your family will yield enormous benefits.
