Create adventurous vacations

It is easy to slip into holiday ruts – taking time off at the same time each year and going to exactly the same place, staying in the same accommodation and seeing the same people. Try mixing it up – ask your children what they would like to do and where they would like to go and, if feasible, incorporate these wishes into your plans.

Share a hobby with your child

Sharing an interest or hobby with your child gives you both the encouragement to create opportunities to spend time together, and gives you a conversation starter.

Avoid the good cop, bad cop trap

If you are separated from your partner, disciplining your children can become more difficult.
