Create ‘magical mystery tours’

Set aside a couple of hours and head off with your child for an adventure – you don’t even need to plan in advance where you are going but just see what happens. Take buses, trains, ferries, trams – whatever is available – and play games along the way.

Tips:

Tune in to the “home tone”

Be aware of setting the wrong tone when you first see your children, and plan ahead to start things off on the right foot if you can.
