Create opportunities to spend longer stretches of time with your children by going away for even just a few days.

  • Go somewhere new, and create new family memories
  • Make the effort to really listen to your children whenever they want to talk
  • As well as doing activities as a family, spend one-on-one time with each child

Resources:

Dad Dates

Taking your kids out individually on one-on-one dates is important. It helps your child feel worthwhile when you take time out of your busy work schedule to spend with them. Use this time together to focus on your child - practise listening and encouraging.

Tips:

Encourage your kids to play team sports

Team sports foster cooperation, camaraderie and commitment. Encourage your child to play a sport they are interested in.
