Help dad when he is away

What about asking your children to help you with something when you are apart from them?

Examples include cutting out newspaper articles on a subject, finding out what is on in your city/town in the upcoming week, cleaning the filter of the swimming pool, remembering to take out the recycling, etc.

The task doesn’t have to be time consuming or difficult, and it will give you a natural point of discussion when you return, plus a chance to say thanks and so start the return on a positive note.

What Children Need from Their Dads

Children need to be accepted and supported as individuals regardless of their academic success, physical ability, sporting prowess, personality, moods, morals or beliefs. This acceptance is often difficult for high-achieving fathers.

Being involved and overcoming peer pressure

Being involved in your kid’s lives is really important. Your involvement shows them how much you care about them.
