Jigsaw puzzles

Jigsaw puzzles can be fantastic activities to do with your kids. There are loads of different jigsaws and you can do them from the ages of 2 to 102. They can be done in one sitting, or can be put away until you are back with the children. You just need a bit of cardboard to store them on if you have to leave it for a while.

You can help the children when they are young – place similar pieces, or all the edges, say, in a pile and you will soon build up their confidence.

Tips:

Keep talking

If you work away from home or travel a lot, be honest with your kids and your partner about how you are coping.

Tips:

Make morning time special

Don’t always leave it to your partner to handle the morning rush of breakfast, getting dressed, getting school lunches packed and finding homework. Take your turn occasionally and see the benefits in your family’s life.
