Plan a meal

While you are apart from your children, either through work, travel, or access restrictions, ask the kids to find some recipes for dinner that they want to try, and ask them to email them to you. Then over a Skype chat you can agree which meal you will cook together, draw up a shopping list and action plan, and get organised. Ask your partner or ex-partner to help the kids purchase the ingredients if necessary.

When you next have time with the children, have fun creating a meal together with your kids.
