Board games are a great way to spend time with your children – there are hundreds of different types available in the stores, or you can often pick them up cheaply from charity shops or garage sales. Choose something age-appropriate, and take the time to teach your child how to play. Snakes and Ladders, Battleship, Monopoly, Pictionary, Cluedo, and Scrabble are all classic games you can try.

Tune in to the “home tone”
