Take your child with you on a trip – Part 1

Spend time with your child on a trip away together.

  • Take one child at a time, and no other adults should come.
  • The best time to start taking your child overseas is when they are between seven and ten.
  • It doesn’t have to be overseas or interstate – the next town will do.
  • Stay overnight if possible.

Tips:

Respect your children’s carers and the role they play when the children are not with you

Be aware of the pressures your children’s carer (be it partner, ex-partner or otherwise) is under in caring for the children and arrange assistance where possible.

Activities:

Footy season – get ready!

Plan trips to the footy or other sporting events with your children.
