Take your children to the local community library

Many community libraries offer children’s story time and other gatherings for parents of young children. Attend these events with your child if you can, and also borrow books to read to your child or with your child.

If you are apart from your kids because of work, travel, or access limitations, try this activity: ask your kids to send you a joke via text or email every day you are apart, and in turn send them a “Dad joke”.
