Teaching children values

Teaching children values is imperative. Be specific about values you think are important – like trust, honesty, integrity, respect, racism, generosity to those who are poor and kindness to those in need.

  • Teach your children to accept people who are different, eg. kids who are disabled, obese or ‘uncool’
  • Develop their conscience about issues like bullying and abusers – don’t leave a vacuum
  • Actions speak louder than words, so make sure what you do supports the values you teach
