After an information session conducted at the Swan Yacht Club by The Fathering Project and featuring keynote speaker, Professor Bruce Robinson, fathers of the school commenced planning for the first ever camp out on the oval in April 2011.
In 2016 the group was officially named the Dads of Richmond Kids (DoRKS) and with the support of The Fathering Project each year a number of activities are organised to promote their key objective of “Helping Dads be Better Dads”. The activities are held approximately every 2 months and include the following:
· Dads and Kids Camp;
· Dads & Dads Lawn Bowls;
· Dads & Kids River Bike Rides; and
· Dads & Kids Billy Cart Race.
For more information on how to join the group or future activities please contact Craig Petzke or a member of the Richmond Primary P&C Committee.
