Mushroom crumbed steaks for dinner this week

Dads who can go past a good steak, which is crumbed with delicious mushrooms? Try this week’s dinner suggestion from Cameron’s Kitchen.
Crumbed steak is a simple meal to create. I enjoy playing around with the flavours I add to the crumbing mix. So this recipe is just what I created in the video. Quantities can be varied to your taste

Ingredients

  • 4 think sliced steaks
  • Bread crumbs (we used Gluten-free crumbs)
  • Dried mushrooms
  • Mixed herbs
  • Sesame seeds
  • 3 eggs
  • Rice flour

Tzatziki

  • 1 cup Greek yoghurt
  • 1 Lebanese cucumber
  • Garlic
  • Dill
  • Lemon juice
  • Olive oil

Method

  1. Mix breadcrumbs, dried mushrooms, herbs and sesame seeds
  2. Lightly whisk eggs together
  3. Rice flour out on a plate
  4. In sequence place meat on the flour and dust, place in egg mix, then crumb mix
  5. If you can refrigerate for 30min. If not heat oil to super hot. Lay steak in oil. 3min then turn for 2min
  6. Place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil

Tzatziki

  1. Mix together yoghurt, cucumber, garlic, dill and lemon juice.
  2. Drizzle olive oil over the top

Serve up the steak with salad, or veggies of your choice.

Enjoy!
