About Petero Civoniceva

As a Fathering Project Ambassador, Petero hopes to lead by example and inspire and encourage positive attitudes and behaviours when it comes to fathering.

As a father of four, he has a strong passion for encouraging and guiding youth in their development and helping them becoming the best that they can be. Petero also has an interest and passion for mental health, and is keen to support dads in looking after their own health and wellbeing.

A former rugby league player, Petro who was born in Suva, Fiji. He moved to Australia and ended up playing 235 games for the Brisbane Broncos. He won two NRL Grand finals in 1998 and 2006, and played 74 games for the Penrith Panthers, becoming the 17th player in NRL history to play 300 NRL games.

Petero also played representative football, with 33 games for Queensland, 45 test matches for Australia, and six tests for Fiji.
