Join The Fathering Project and North Sydney Bears for a fun afternoon of activities, footy and community connection.
Sunday, 15th June 2025
1:30 PM – 5:00 PM AEST
North Sydney Oval, 2 Fig Tree Lane North Sydney, NSW 2060
Event Overview
The Fathering Project and the North Sydney Bears are teaming up for Dads and Kids Activities before the Bears take on the Canberra Raiders in the NSW Cup.
This free event for registered dads and kids includes on-field mini-games and footy drills led by current and former Bears players – including club legend Greg Florimo – and The Fathering Project team.
The Dads and Kids Activities will take place from 2:15 to 3PM on the field before the North Sydney Bears NSW Cup game. However, we recommend arriving earlier to watch other football games and enjoy activities for kids happening throughout the day. At 3PM, you and the kids will form a Guard of Honour as the NSW Cup teams run on, then settle in to enjoy the game together.
There’ll be plenty for kids to enjoy off the field too: face painting, colouring, bubbles, Bears tattoos, and even a visit from Barney the Bear!
You’ll have the opportunity to meet with The Fathering Project staff who deliver Schools Programs and Dads Groups, and opportunity to learn more about programs and services such as the Working Families Program and Community Fathering.
Spots are limited – register by Sunday 8th June 2025 to be part of it!
