Yarra Dads Hairdressing Workshop

In November, the father figures of Yarrawarrah Public School (Yarra Dads) came together for a night with their daughters to learn some basic hairdressing skills under the experienced guidance of two of the mums from the school community. After the fathers and grandfathers demonstrated their ability with some ponytails and plaits, and observed some versions of a braid, the tables were turned as the girls got to test their hairdressing skills on them.

It’s been so great to hear parents comment on how good the night was as well as share some of the positive experiences from putting things they have learnt from The Fathering Project into practice.
