The Community Fathering program launches in the Illawarra

The program seeks to engage, inspire and support fathers and father figures in the Illawarra region by providing a safe space, at ‘The Community Fathering Hub’ for fathers to come and connect, have a bite to eat and learn about their most important role, being a father.

It takes a village to raise a child, The Community Fathering Program aims to create a strong community of fathers, to learn from one another, and provide support, for their benefit, and for their children.

The Community Fathering Hub is located at The Foundery Centre, 132 Wentworth St, Port Kembla and offers a range of different services, all free of charge.

Four ways to connect this term:

  1. One on one sessions (Dad to Dad talks)
  2. Dads Toolbox Talks – a session providing fathering tips and advice
  3. Community Fathering Connections – a chance to learn from and connect with other fathers and father figures
  4. Dads and Kids event – August 25. Come cook a BBQ with your kids!
